iPhone 3G screen has a yellow cast

iPhone 3G screen has a yellow cast by Neven Mrgan.
On the left and right, original iPhones. In the middle, a brand new iPhone 3G.

I noticed this cast right away, before comparing the screen to the old iPhones. It's strong enough to be a distraction. It's not just "different"; it's quite objectively more yellow.

P.S. I've also compared both generations to a new iPod touch - the touch is color-consistent with the old iPhones.

Boo.

Middle one looks better, but that's the contrast settings maybe.

I already prefer the new, yellow one. Oh well.

I realize this warmer temperature is more "correct" but I too preferred the cooler old display.

However, even at only half brightness the iPhone 3G is brighter than the first gen.
