Shot with the SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4; its a brilliant lens. This is the newer version from 1973 with the 8 bladed aperture.

I saw this old Vet outside the grocery store at lunch, selling poppies for Veterans Day. I got my camera the next day and asked him about his service and his medals; he was more than willing to talk. 3 campaigns in Italy during World War 2 (first 3 stars on the left). Service to the King medal. Various other Canadian medals. He asked me shyly if he could have a copy of the pictures. I went back next week and handed him two prints. He was very happy!
