Week 5: Flowers.

Nathan and I have been together for almost 6 years now, and he has never bought me flowers. It's just something he thinks of as a bad gift, and while I do agree with him, it's always nice to get them every once in a while for no reason. Well, this past week he bought me a dozen roses. I was giddy, I'll admit. I can be such a girl sometimes.

Week 4: Self-conscious.

I'm a very self-conscious person. I usually always am wearing a smile though, even when I want to just blend away.

Week 3: The tea lover.

It is true. I love tea. I have a never ending supply of all kinds of tea. Loose leaf, tea bags, black tea, white tea, rooibos, you name it, I have it. It is such a comfort to curl up under a blanket and sip on a nice brew.

Week 2: Smiley Little Metal Freak.

I don't think you would think it just looking at me, but I listen to metal. I actually love most music genres, but metal is my most listened to. Thought about doing this after going to a concert last night in Cleveland, OH. Traveled 2.5 hours to see Korpiklaani, Tyr, Swashbuckle, White Wizzard, and Dark Arena.

Week 1: This is me.

This is me. Mary. And this is basically my life. I'm full of crazy expressions and can be quite quirky at times. The cat? That is Simon. He loves me far more than a cat should love their owner. He has to be within five feet of me at all times. Talk about separation issues.

But hey..we all have our issues! I know I do!

Here is the start of this 52 Weeks of Me project I'm doing. One self-portrait of me every week of the year. I don't know how this is going to fly..I really hate taking self-portraits, so..we'll see!
