Chris-Craft "Miss Belle Isle"
"Miss Belle Isle", from 1923, is the oldest known Chris-Craft in existence. She has a double cockpit ten-passenger runabout. The hull is made of Philippine mahogany covered with six coats of varnish which was had been rubbed with rottenstone. The inboard engine is a Curtis OX 5; single-8 cylinder; 90hp @ 1400 RPM; 28 mph with 18 x 20 Hyde propeller. This boat is in the collection at The Mariners' Museum (accession # 1987.17.01).
