The Largest Golden Shoe

    Every year the Marikina River plays host to a number of colorful, lighted, and stunning floats which carry giant shoes on their backs. The current year is no exception, and I guess this is the pièce de résistance -- a gorgeous golden shoe with an equally beautiful float that carries it proudly.

    I'm quite sure that the shoe itself is bigger than a van... I'll have to go back and double-check the fact one of these days.

    Aside from the floats, there's a tiangge (bazaar) where one can haggle and buy all sorts of things -- shoes (of course, Marikina is the shoe capital of the Philippines), clothes, tools, decors, food, etc.

    Does it look good on black?
