All I know is that is was made by Steiff. See the button in the ear. It had a label attached to the button. I didn't like it dangling down, so I cut if out. I didn't know how to remove the button without damaging the ear, so I left it.

Probably lots of people have an identical cat to Katy Blue, my "Bad Cat." She looked like her mother, but was from a litter of different color cats. She had the markings of a Russian Blue - the double coated fur, the rose colored paws, dark grey nose, but her eyes were a combination of gold and green, not pure green. She also had a white necklace and a white spot on one paw which pedigreed Russian Blues do not have. Her ears were smaller than a Russian also. Some people would say she was just a grey cat; but I felt she was very close to a Russian Blue.

When she died and I could not find another cat like her, I bought a pedigreed Russian Blue from champion stock - Katy Blue II, pictured below:

This is a heads up on the "Good Cat - Bad Cat" photograph. As renoir girl above, has mentioned, the Cheezburger site has basically stolen my deceased pet's photograph and is using it for commercial purposes on their own website: feedproxy.google.com/~r/ICanHasCheezburger/~3 /jiQ0N0Fdg7s/ .

I have asked them to take my photograph down, but they will not do so, even though they have admitted in writing that it is my photograph. They claim that I am required to submit legal petitions to have it removed.

I've also read your comments about Katy Blue, for me she was something in the midle between Korat and Russian Blue. She had a look like of a Korat cat. Very beautiful foto and Katy Blue was beautiful too. Thanks for answering

Thanks to "renoir girl" above for taking the time to tell me that this photo was being used on the Cheezburger site, I have found some additional things to be careful of here at Flickr - Cat Groups apparently are NOT all the same.

Read the fine print of this group before you add your photos to it, as once added you give permission for the photo to be used commercially. I have never belonged to this group, "Flickr Can Has Cheezburger" or added photos: www.flickr.com/groups/cheezburger/

I don't see how this group conforms to Flickr's Terms of Service, but I think that anyone who adds his photos to groups should be warned about the "Flickr Can Has Cheezburger" group and its affiliation with the icanhascheezburger.com commercial website.

Very funny - swizzle. How can you claim it as "your" picture when the source is "dunno source?" Just another example of the icanhascheezburger site making money from other people's photographs without giving them any credit nor paying for the use of the photos.

I have written to Yahoo about the icanhascheezburger presence here on Flickr, and Yahoo can only "yawn" about it. They don't care.
