Plaque Franz Wickhoff, Steyr

Texte original en français (English version is further down)

English version of the original French text (L'original en Français est en haut)

The walls of Steyr buildings were full of paques, even more so than thos in Melk. I suppose that has to do with the fact that Steyr became an important industrial town after being an important logging center. There were humble plaque, smal plaques, big plaques and fancy plaques, to commemorate all kinds of things. This here was one of the fanciest plaques of them all. It told you that on this spot there once stood the home of Franz Wickhoff, who went on to Vienna to become one of Austria's most famous Art historians.
