Wearemammoth - yes you are.

Wearemammoth - yes you are.

If a company calls itself Mammoth—www.wearemammoth.com—I can't be too harsh on them for using custom scroll bars. I mean, they are admitting it upfront. Agreed they only say that they create the "execute beautiful web applications" and don't mention usability anywhere, but shoot me in the head for expecting them to know a thing or two about usability, or atleast testing on their own website.

I got to their website after hearing about one their products - www.getdonedone.com/. It took me less than 30 seconds to get frustrated when my mouse scroll doesn't work. Their website doesn't support mouse scroll!!??????

(For those who are wondering about details, I was using Safari on my Mac at the time)

Any guesses to whether I'll investing any time into trying out their products?

Do you really want to download MacJournal ?

Do you really want to download MacJournal ?

Tried to download MacJournal from the Mariner Software website. It showed me the download link which I clicked on. That's when I realised Mariner Software is very sensitive about its files:

- First, it asked me to fill out a form to download the trial
- Fill out First name.
- Fill out Last name
- Fill out EMAIL ??!!!
- Then, it asked me to open my email and click on a link to "verify" my email address
- I opened my email and clicked on the link.
- As promised, I got my download link!! Finally! Couldn't have been harder!

Oh, and did I mention I already own a license for MacJournal?

Really, Mariner Software, if you don't want me to download your files, I'm fine with—just tell me so!

Oh and btw, they were nice enough not to say anything about not spamming my email address ... what I don't know doesn't hurt me ..

But my favourite way to communicate is Facetime these days..

But my favourite way to communicate is Facetime these days..

Read the news about Yahoo Mail's new interface this morning—and got excited at trying out a new toy. Except it's not a toy. It's apparently an advanced interface to access my data that expects me to grow up and decide favourites. Sorry.

*c'mon, just give me my mail. This is what I had to do to actually see any email:

1. Login
2. Get confused (was shown the "What's New" tab)
3. Figure if there's anything I could do
4. Chance upon the "Inbox" tab and click on it
5. Asked to decide favourties
6. Wondering if I can just click on the mail and get away with it
7. Decided to come back sometime later and try.
8. Go back and post this here .....

Oh, so you like 404 pages ?

Oh, so you like 404 pages ?

Somehow landed on this page at www.emastudios.com. So they told me that it doesn't exist anymore and gave me a nice explanation of what I can do next. Being the hard headed idiot that I am—I clicked on their logo on the top left corner instead—expecting to go to their home page. Little did I realise, that wasn't their intention.

They were so nice they gave me another chance and gave me another 404 page for me to try again.

Yahoo Messenger - They give you a free PA with the messenger now

Yahoo Messenger - They give you a free PA with the messenger now

Just started using Yahoo Messenger on my Mac. While going through the settings, I realised Yahoo had graciously forwarded my voicemail to Grace. They made is so convenient, that they didn't bother asking me or even letting me know. The problem is, I don't know who Grace is. WTF.
