Tunnel View of Yosemite Valley with Half Dome & Bridalveil Falls.

I visited Yosemite National Park last spring for the first time since I was a young child, and was absolutely awe stuck by its beauty. I couldn't put my camera down...I wanted to capture everything my eyes were seeing. This was, by far, my favorite place to be on that trip: Tunnel View, a very popular place to view the valley.

My Valentine is taking me back to Yosemite this weekend so that I can see it covered in snow for the very first time. I can't WAIT!

Pandora, Wow, I think I see floating mountains.
Beautiful image, the contrast in the falls and it's rock is outstanding.

Ansel Adams is itching to get up out of the dirt and have a shoot-off with you because you are clearly a threat to his legendary reputation.

If little m and Seattle Miles (dene') say you are a good person----then that is enough for me to come visit your work. This is gorgeous Dawn! I am hoping to take my family this way in the summer months.

Hi McCoy! Aww. Well that's so sweet--thanks! You should come--it's beautiful, but super crowded, in the summer. I just went a few weeks ago, and it was cold but amazing with no crowds! :-) So nice to meet you.

OMG----the summer months would be the worst time......you are right. Not good-----don't like crowds. I am always trying to find remoteness in the Olympics, near where I live in Washington state!

Yeah, this pic was taken at the beginning of last May. Not even all the roads were open yet & it was CRAZY. It's hard to appreciate how amazing it is when you're fighting through crowds to see it. Freezing February was lovely though.
    :-)

That's it...too many cool people live in WA. I need to get myself up there!
