Clouded Leopard cubs are 12 weeks old!

The 12-week-old clouded leopard cubs born at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo’s Conservation and Research Center (CRC) are getting bigger and bigger! The smaller cub now weighs five pounds seven ounces, and the bigger one is up to six pounds six ounces. The cubs have received their final vaccinations and just today moved from the hospital to enclosures in another building, where they will be able to see their parents. Both cubs are in the process of being weaned, and have graduated from eating turkey baby food and formula to having feline diet and a small amount of milk twice a day. Their coordination is also improving. The cubs play with stuffed animals as well as with each other, and their level of interaction with their keepers is increasing.
