Not until the late 19th century was it possible to reach the beautiful location of Hallstatt by road. So of course Laurie and I had to do it the old fashion way, by boat, since we were arriving by rail on the other side of the lake. We sailed across the lake the same way the locals did for decades before the first road was built by blasting rock from the base of the mountains.
Once we got off the train we boarded the ferry and sailed into Hallstatt across the "Hallstätter See (a lake)" and saw the face of the mountainside town.
This offered us picturesque Alpine vies like this one you see here & HERE!
Lake front property is sparse here my friends, claim your spots now, haha.
Thanks for taking the time! Have yourselves a wonderful week. : )
