She is cooking Magwinya. You might know them as Fat Cakes. They are made from flour, sugar, some water and then are deep fried. They are delicious. Thanks for your interest. Melody

A Little bit of Salt ,Sugar and yeast. Mix with flour and water and make into a very soft dough. Leave in a warm place to "raise" then just keep squeezing slimy balls of the mixture into hot boiling oil. They are ready when the are floating and they make a puffy sound. Best eaten with meat and any relish or soup.
