the cut is from completing my 365 a week ago and scraping it down a nail while oil painting.
oil was trapped beneath the skin in little puddles along it. i tried to scrape/wash it out, but i almost threw up.

if you think it's bad now you should have seen it then.

Day 365

i don't want to make this a novel:
i've come a ridiculously long way.
and i honestly don't know why i even started this project with my point and shoot in the first place, it was an impulse decision that changed everything.
and somewhere during the whole thing i realized what photography meant to me, and what i could capture and share.
thank you so much to all of you that have supported me and made me strive to keep this up.
it's been incredibly difficult and i hated half the stuff i posted for the world to see at times, but that was all a part of the process that brought me such a long way. i can look back and pick out points in the year, the way i felt and what i was back then. it is wonderful to have that all forever.

i'm done. finished. complete. the end.




yes, i painted my wall with oil colors. it was not a good idea.
i gashed my hand open because of a nail on the wall. i balled my eyes out while my sister poured peroxide on it and then kept going.

i'll keep posting, don't worry.
but i'll make sure the photos mean something now.
and i'll keep up my entire 365 for probably a couple months, but after that many photos will go on private. sorry. that's just how i want it to be.

i think i will be very lost when my 365 ends.
and i don't think this really looks like me. but it might.
the song (marrow by st.vincent) gets really crazy and good right after it cuts off.
