2010 Testing

This collection highlights the 2010 Desert Research and Technology Studies tests. For the third year in a row, field tests are being held at Black Point Lava Flow. The terrain and size of the Black Point Lava Flow provide an environment geologically similar to the lunar surface. Although this terrain is most similar to the moon, technologies tested are not limited to the lunar surface. Astronauts will need habitats to live in, rovers to explore in, and laboratories to work in on any surface beyond the planet Earth.
