Husky hello (B&W)

    Newer Older

Black and white conversion of this photo in CaptureNX2. Cropped a little for composition.

I was particularly taken by the alert expression of the standing husky as it pranced around trying to interest the other one (which seemed to want to curl up and sleep).

Castorino, French Alps. Feb 8 2009.

    Nikon D90, Nikkor-P 105mm f/2.5 Ai'ed in manual mode @ ISO 200, f/8, 1/800s (no metering).

This is a delightful shot - the b&w decision suits so well.

Great composition! I have been watching your photos for a few days and have been waiting to see this one. Somehow I knew it would be in there eventually.

thanks, I have added it after reading the rules.

, I don't join groups that require members to post insincere comments on random pictures just to suit the rules.

Thanks to all the other commentors. Glad you all liked it. I don't currently do a lot of B&W, I may start to do some more though.

Superb rendition with B&W, ideal for this topic. The Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 AIS performed very well here.
