tilt/shift/yard

tilt/shift/yard by namke.
Having 'adjusted'* the 405 pack-film holder so that it fits my MPP correctly, this is another take on the 'fake' model setup.

Taken largely for the Utata 'Thursday walk' thread, I realised it also fitted 'IP53':

For IP 53:
1 - a curved piece of wood
2 - something white
3 - made to appear old

Fuji FP-100C gloss film,
MPP Mark VI camera, front and rear tilt to max.
1/25@f4.5

* filed about 1mm off one end so that the locating ridge, errr... locates.

Nice
Is your MPP a micro technical one?
I had one before and have done a few pieces like this.

Yep, it's an MPP Micro-Technical Mark VI (without an international back unfortunately - I have to unhook the ground glass to get the 405 holder onto the back of the camera! Good job I have a sturdy tripod+head!)

Mine was a Mark VII if i remember right.
Also i found out that the registry isn't standard and so at large apertures and using other make film holders focussing could be an issue. It's to do with where mpp place the film plane on their holders compared to other companies.
I have just bought a load of 5x4 film holders and one of them is MPP which i'm not going to be using. If you would like it then flickr mail me your address and i'll send it to you.

I understood that the MPP's register was 'standard' (at least according to www.mppusers.freeuk.com/registers.htm). I already have some of the wooden MPP holders, but I don't use them (they're not so smooth in operation as the plastic holders). I've not really noticed any registration issues, but then I've not done any tests either; mine seems to be close enough.

Amongst other things, I'm looking out for a slightly more able LF camera/lens at the moment - even a more modern MPP would probably do - an international back would be a definite plus!

I think mine was a mark VII s2 or some similar name so i expect it was just my model that wasn't standard maybe.
I'm still confused about what is an international back and what isn't.
I would have to remove the groundglass section on mine as well if i was to use a rollfilm holder. I have had three large format cameras so far and the backs have all been the same. Two metal levers that enter the back of the camera and are removed with the back section to take the whole groundglass section off to use a rollfilm holder.
What is the difference with none international standard backs?

Just checked your link and mine was the s92 which doesn't have the standard registry.
