The lobby of The Read House Hotel in Chattanooga, TN is glorious. Anyone who walks in and doesn't want to do a study in it's historic robust decor must be having a bad day.

Around the lobby on the second story are little envlaves with two seats and a bistro table. These seating areas overlook the lobby and at either end, grand chandaliers.

The stairs are granite, the handrail, worn smooth with age. The wrought iron detail lends itself to the curves of the staircase.

I like the straight lines of the wallpaper and steps contrasted with the curves.
