Volumes

H.W. Janson, History of Art. On the second floor of the Golda Meir Library at UWM.

There is a copy in my parents' house with the same spine as the volume on the far left. I used to page through it and mostly look at the illustrations.

The library is always buzzing where there are computers and coffee and places where people can talk. It's pretty dead these days in the stacks. It's starting to seem up there like a museum to preserve the old ways of accessing knowledge.
