You can see how the 'driver' control the 'racing car' here. You need more than just brave and smart here. Body balance is very important because i see no shock breaker is used and you just stand inside the cart. The circuit typically is like 'U' which the start and finish is on the both side and it has two session with start and finish are changed in opposite.
The knowledge about the 'machines' - buffaloes also important here. You can't push it too much as you drive a car :D

Balinese Bull Racing called Makepung.
I really want to see top Formula 1 driver or rally driver like Hamilton, M. Schumacher or Valentino Rossi ride this 'nature car'...
No seat belt, even no seat, no steering wheel, no speed limiter and brake, no helmet, and no umbrella girl :D
The Makepung was originally held as part of the harvest festivities. The carts and buffaloes were, until quite recently, still used for transportation. The Makepung consists of a race between two carts pulled by water buffaloes. The colorfully decorated animals race on about 2 until 4 km course. These days, championship events are organized under the sponsorship of the local government, which uses the race to help promote tourism (and also sponsorship of cigarette company).
Makepung is Group Competition, between East Group and West Group of Negara City. As the border that devide the city as two side is a river that flows through the center of the city called "Sungai Ijo Gading" or "Ijo Gading" river. So there's not an Individual Champion but a Group Champion. One Group use the red flag and the other is green.
This my 2nd visit of makepung after 3 years ago :)
For your attention, please bring your lens cloth, brush and blower, the dust is really worst here. I have used a plastic bag (also with my friends) and it not works (except you make it totally vacuum), but can help only to reduce the dust....And after you back to home, you will prefer to bring your bag to the laundry :D

I met three boys still together in their coldness. I can see the shake of the body because here was very cold. I can't imagine how if wet.. hm.... :D

This waterfall is believed to be the sacred waterfall since it was right here that the Great Prime Minister of Majapahit, Gajah Mada, spent the rest of his life and practiced asceticism by meditating under this waterfall. This spectacular waterfall lies hidden at the end of a deep valley in the foothills of the Tengger range. The water has cascades from the dense forest above.
