Girl with bunches and thanka make up, Myanmar

Burma girl on the famous teck wood in Mandalay...She lives around and appears on thousands of pictures on the web and postcards, but she's really nice and was just posing, without asking for money...The light was fading quickly, and it was raining.

looks like a film, how u get this effect?

in fact, i have no choice, the effect is simple Nygus: arrive late at the U Bein gate, just after the sundown, so you just have a little bit of daylight remaining...so..you take your leica with a 400 triX, and you pray that something will appear on the pic!

Lovely, dreamlike image--I think the fading light served you well! Beautiful girl as well . . . love the ornamentation, and that slightly coy smile.
