caring hands

My Dad was the best barbeque cook ever - he also made the lightest scones. He had a small corner store at Highgate Hill, one customer would drive 40 miles (20 to and 20 back) to buy his scones each Sunday. During the Second World War he was a cook for the 2/2 Machine Gun Battalion.

This photograph was taken way back in the late sixties on a family outing with friends. Naturally these were always byo barbeques with Dad doing the cooking. He had a barbeque plate and stand made especially for these outings.

Sounds like your Dad was a wonderful person. At the least it sounds like you have a few wonderful memories of him.
