Canal by night

Thirteen seconds spent under a bridge on the Regents Canal, Islington. The ghostly trails were left by a jogger passing through the photo.

Self portrait, introspective

Shot to try out my new strobes. Having light stands and multiple lights makes portraits so much more fun! I am enjoying it, honestly...

This is straight out of camera by the way, just a default black & white conversion.

Self portrait

Shot at home using a flash to light the wall behind me and a window with netting as a side light. To get my eye pin sharp I used autofocus plus a few attempts to get my eye on the focus point. The catch-light is from the on-camera flash running in commander mode on my Nikon. I shot tethered to my laptop so I could easily check sharpness of each photo without getting up.
