Personally, I think this theme it too much in-your-face, especially compared to the subtly elegance of the other two. The text is especially hard to read on the dark blue.

@pixsellr: While in most instances water might not be blue, most people associate blue with water. If they made that background the poop-green color of your first pick, I'd hardly look at that and think "water".

When something like water is dumbed down to so few colors (a simple gradient) you can't possibly think that changing it to the true 'nature' color of water is a good idea.
