Endless useful. Under Creative Costuming: "First, buy a pattern. Believe it or not, there are a couple of pretty good patterns--Simplicity Costumes #8646 'Elvis Elvis Elvis' is the one for children, and there is also one for adults, which you can find in the costume section of the pattern book." Meditate, if you will, on the image of the Elvis impersonator bent over his sewing machine.

insanitywmarsh- YES! i should really tell everyone the whole story. it's quite funny, but would take up too much space. but here's a part: our limo got a flat tire on the way there. (i thought it was a bad sign.) the driver said, "shit! (which i thought was hysterical) sounds like a flat. don't worry, i'll get you there." he didn't stop for it. when we got there and got out....man, you should have seen that twisted rim. hey, he got us there on time! : )

10cent- my husband is a ham. that is a vintage wool plaid suit. he had to get it because it fit him perfectly. i didn't see it until the wedding. ha!

lorilea- it was just the two of us! no parents, no pals, just us, the drunk photographer and elvis. it was a blast.

melissa- where's your pic? i can't wait.

ingrid- this is gonna be good.

beanmama- holy cow. that's awesome. we got an elvis suit as a gift for audrey. she's still too small for it, but boy are we gonna have some fun when we break that thing open!

drspam- your day will come...and i'll want to see THAT picture! : )
i think it would have been fun to have everyone in vegas, but i don't do well with large crowds. i would have puked had it been a large affair! Your sister must be dashing with a name like Angela!

Gabi- good, cuz i'll keep um coming just for you.

mullerz- still waiting for it..where is it? post it already! : )

joe- i'm sure we're gonna run into each other some day. i'll be driving down alpharetta hwy or something and pull up next to you and give you some funny twisted look of surprise. i just know it's gonna happen.

tattva- no, YOU RULE!

spam- people that are too damn cool for school are usually pretty cool. we're just geeks! ha!

uncommon- bring it on. and no, no gilded frame...YET. I actually had a pretty tough time finding our photos. I destroyed the house looking for them. do you know where they were? in a shoe box, in an armoir, in the guest room that we never use. it took hours.

ilmungo- geesh! THANK YOU! I spent an hour in the chair for that up-do. sometimes, i think i missed out on the whole 'real wedding thing', but then i look at these photos, or the even more outrageous video and laugh. i'm a sucker for a good laugh. and hey, you can still go to vegas and do it for fun! (there's a good anniversay idea for ya.)

Suffice it to say, I wore a very traditional dress my grandmother made with a lovely veil
he wore a very traditional tux with a mullet, a PERMED mullet

he was very high-maintenance then
one of the things that I found both amusing and endearing

our wedding was great fun
plan on another one for our tenth anniversary (Jan 2010)
just so we can party

there is a shot of me swigging champagne straight from the bottle
a personal highlight, actually

and i can't believe nobody has said this, but...
I guess what happens in Vegas, doesn't stay in Vegas
