Photographer's Ladder

I've been trying to get a good shot from this bridge but realized that I really needed to be up higher in order to get more of the ocean in addition to the shadow on the bridge, just a wider perspective. This is my dad's old rickety ladder and I could easily spill over the side. Time to fork up for a new ladder. Anyone have recommendations for a photo ladder?

Maybe it's me, but the picturer looks like you were standing on somethingn to elevate you when you took it. I think the ladder makes the pic.

The lines and dof in this are fantastic! Nice shot. While I've never used a ladder for photo taking purposes, they have nice sturdy ones at Home Depot for 40 bucks.
