It's been a year, Dad. It doesn't feel like a year has gone by. I remember that day like it happened a few minutes ago. I remember seeing you sitting there in your easy chair. It looked like you had just fallen asleep.

You were right next to the phone. We had probably just hung up from talking the night before. Your electric blanket was on. Your bed had not been slept in.

You're with me always because not a day goes by that I don't find myself thinking about you, how would you react to one thing or another, what would you tell me about one issue or another. Even when I do something silly I feel like you are up there laughing at me. I've even visualized you holding on to the gym equipment I was working out on and helping me lift when it was so heavy...and it worked!

I love you so much. I miss you but you are always in my heart. I still depend on you because I am always summoning your logic for different reasons. You know, like What would Daddy do?

I hope they have a Fais-Do-Do up there. I know you'll be the star of the show. Rocking those angels to some chank-a-chank! Well, how do I close? So much still I could say. But I have to go to work. But you know that already, don't you? (((HUGS)))
