Hindmarsh Island bridge

Who would ever have expected to see the bridge pylons exposed on the sand of the river bottom? This is the third pylon from the bank of the normal river.

 

The River Murray is being affected by the drought in Australia and water flows are minimal. The river level has dropped so much that there are now sand banks appearing and the river shoreline is expanding. The water level has changed dramatically in the last month.
