Markha Valley - Oct 1st

Markha Valley - Oct 1st

The Markha Valley route is considered by many to be one of the most popular trail in the Ladakh region. Among its attractions: a diverse geography, giant rock pinnacles, beetling cliffs, narrow defiles and prayer-flagged passes, considered short but challenging. The trail ascends from the lower valley to the upper region of Nimaling, up to 4700 meters above sea level, where shepards herd goats, sheeps and yaks. From Nimaling the trail ascends to Gongmaru La, 5150m, to later descend to the town of Hemis, a monastic town
