I think this scene is a legitimate subject for a HDR job - on a single exposure you can have a decent exposure on the foreground or the floodlit pylons, but not both.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

My philosophy is use whatever technique is best for the situation. Sometimes HDR is best, sometimes it isn't. For me, it's the end result that matters. I like how this has turned out, it has a surrealism to it.
