Taking a cue from my good friend Gregg Cooper , I thought I would also post a blue hour shot today of the Rivers Of America as both of us had high hopes for a nice sunset only to have everything fizzle out at the last minute. This was taken last Sunday as I raced, yet again, down to the park in hopes of nailing a sunset as a storm was breaking up. I was just about to pack up and just head out after the sunset colors disappeared when I thought it couldn't hurt to try a couple of blue hour shots. So out came the tripod, and I took a series of brackets from Frontierland before heading to the hub to take the shot i posted last Wed. From what I gathered from Gregg's post, he was very glad he hung around for blue hour, as was I. It was also fortuitous that Fantasmic had been cancelled for the evening as all of the lights and junk were not out due to the rain.
Moral of both stories: If your sunset is a complete bust, hang around for blue hour!
