Taken in Halong Bay, Vietnam. These small boats came up to ours selling fruit. Surprisingly, some of the fruit sellers could speak Mandarin - guess they must get plenty of Mainland Chinese tourists here as well. It was 38C the day we were there so the fruit wasn't the freshest which is understandable but it certainly was colorful.
This photo was taken on August 20, 2007 in Hanoi, Ha Noi, VN, using a Canon Digital IXUS 430.

I just love this.
I have a tiny little statue from a trip that is so similar to this. The colors just talked to me, as does your wonderful photograph.

Reminds me of Bangkok, Thailand. I always want to go to Vietnam. My wife tells me it is only 7 hours by train from Nanning??

The best way to travel from Nanning to Hanoi is to get a bus leaving around 8am and it will get you to Hanoi around 4pm. You can get a Vietnam visa at the consulate in Nanning and takes about 3 days to get. You can also get a bus from Nanning to Haiphong/Halong Bay if you prefer to go there. Cost is around RMB150 per person.
