Floodwaters enter Hugh L. Carey Tunnel

    Floodwaters from Hurricane Sandy enter the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (former Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel). Governor Andrew M. Cuomo ordered the tunnel closed at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012.

      This is a real photo. Thats not headlights, rather entrance lights to the tunnel

      I'm not familiar with this tunnel since I'm not from there. How deep is this? Seeing some horrible pics. Praying for all affected. Having survived Katrina, I understand this mess. :(

      I don't know anyone who refers to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel as the "Hugh Carey" tunnel.
