My Father

Two firsts:
1) My first people photo on flickr,
2) My first use of a real flash.

The flash I used, a Vivitar 285, belongs to my father. He's the reason I got into photography.

He worked as a Navy photographer during the '60s and continued in the field as a photo-lab tech for many years after that. With a single shutter release, he can capture an image twice as good as anything I can take given a hundred or more exposures.

Some day I'll get him a slide scanner and convince him to get on flickr, too.
