Musée Mécanique - Laffing Sal

"Laffing" Sal, legendary grand-dame of the Musée Mécanique in San Francisco. Creepy, off-putting, and highly photogenic. Look elsewhere on Flickr for full-body shots of her, which I found less interesting than her freaky mug.

Musée Mécanique - bocca della verita

Much-miniaturized copy (adult hand barely fits in the mouth) of the Bocca Della Verita. The original is an ancient pagan thingamabob in Rome, re-immortalized by hunky Gregory Peck and darling Audrey Hepburn in the 1950's film Roman Holiday. This small coin-operated facsimile is in the Musée Mécanique at Pier 45 in San Francisco, California.
