Mailbox

Mailbox near the Milpitas Dog Park at Ed Levin Park (Santa Clara County, California). This is 10-15 minutes outside of the largest city in Northern California (San Jose).

Yes, I know rural mailboxes are cliche... :)

In the same park I saw a deer (didn't get a good photo as it was running away from me) and this barn (both somewhat surprising just outside of San Jose).

Our dog Wally was very interested in a couple of deer that came up to the dog fence on this day. They hung out for a little while before running off. Unfortunately they were too quick for me as well.

This place is really amazing--there are the deer, you can here coyotes (or something) howling sort of nearby, and I had to slam on my brakes a few times on the way out to avoid a rabbit crossing the road.
