This group of trees known locally as ‘the dark hedges’ are thought to be around 300 years old. They are reputedly haunted by a spectral ‘grey lady’ and form an arc over the road. They have become a much-photographed natural monument within the Ballymoney Borough.
I had to wait quiet a while until a vehicle appeared for this shot.
If you have not visited this beautiful country before, the Dark Hedges are reason enough, but other amazing sights such as cities, towns, countryside, castles, loughs (lochs/lakes), giants causeway, the people etc add to an amazing stay
