Today Tiffany celebrated her birthday - with root beer cupcakes and a bounce house. It was pretty epic. Stefanie and I spent a lot of time in there bouncing with Tiffany's nieces and nephew - who the bounce house was supposed to be for. But frankly, I think the adults had way more fun with it - especially after dark. Five adults in a bounce house - you can launch each other pretty high. :)

Tomorrow is Tiffany's birthday party and she needed some help, so Stefanie and I headed over to see what we could do. We made cupcakes. The above are root beer float which are amazing, and we also made chocolate with butterscotch ganache - everything gluten free for Tiffany.

The buttercream recipe Tiffany found was amazing BTW. I will be trying this on something else that I made eventually.

It's funny because I'm not usually this way, but all day I looked forward to nothing more than to get home so I could veg out with televised enertainment. First there was Big Bang Theory (which was hysterical) and then I watched the live stream of hitRECord from Sundance.

I still dream of getting people to see my films. And every time I spend a night watching good entertainment it's all I can think about.

Stefanie and I went to Portola again tonight sans Tiffany (sadly) and the barrista remembered us!!! He must think we're crazy because the entire hour plus that we're there we sit at our table laughing, texting and taking an insane amount of pictures. Then again, maybe he just thinks we're fun - he did promise to try to remember our names next time.

For whatever reason today I was in a really good mood - I actually blame that I had such an inspired writing night last night. But nothing could get me down today.

I stopped to run an errand on the way home and reemerged to see this - a spectacular California sunset. I really do love this state. I might want to move out of Orange County, but I don't want to move out of California.
