2007 Tokyo Int'l Quilt Festival

Pictures taken January 19, 2007, on opening day of the annual quilt show at the Tokyo Dome. I snapped pictures of quilts that caught my eye, ones I wanted to go back and expore later, and ones that I felt I might use as inspiration for future projects. My bias is towards antique quilts, traditional quilts, hand quilting, two-color quilts, and quilts that have something to say without shouting it out.

I like close-up photos that highlight workmanship, and I am crazy about clever borders, so these pictures show a lot of those things, too.
