My new favorite salad. I've been eating this constantly and can't imagine stopping anytime soon, it is that tasty.

Roasted beets, feta cheese and candied pecans provide the main bed of flavor. But it's the balsamic sauce (1/4 cup of sugar dissolved into 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar) that really makes this dish. A little bit goes a long way and the batch of sauce I made was enough for about 6-8 salads, even after being mixed up with the greens. I used mache because I am obsessed with it and I threw in a few pomegranate arils, too, to give it more of a fall feel. Recipe from ljc.

I went to this new coffee place called Philz on both Saturday and Sunday and I think I'm getting addicted.

They have about 15 - 20 different blends on hand every day and each cup is ground and dripped when you order it. The coffee is flavorful and very caffeinated and the baristas will blend in the cream and sugar for you if you want it.

Seriously delicious stuff, not to be missed for coffee lovers. Philz has several branches in the Bay Area.
