So here's basically the whole site (minus the giant scientology logo just off frame to the left and the airfield off frame to the right). There's a bigass mansion in the lower-left, some smaller buildings scattered around, a weird building facade that appears to be built right into a cliff face (I assume this is the bunker entrance where they store all their L. Ron), and the switchbacks up to the airfield.

Attention Scientologists: you are in a cult. If you escape, come to me and I'll buy you a donut.

OK I'm better now. This is the compound of brainwashed people that is associated with San Miguel Ranch Airport. The weird symbol carved into the landscape just to the left of the huge mansion is the logo of one of the bullshit non-profit organizations that make up the Church of Scientology. This particular location is one of the places where they have a bunker to store all of the writings and sayings of L. Ron Hubbard on stainless steel discs stored in titanium drums. I can't make this stuff up.

aka the airfield for Trementina Base aka batshit crazy people land here. The airfield is cool, runway 22 ends right on a cliff edge. The airfield is private so I can't land there without permission, and I doubt the Scientologists are likely to give me permission. There is no listed radio frequency for it and, in fact, the scientologists have requested from the FAA that the airport not even appear on their charts. To date, the FAA appears to have ignored this request.

Here's me in the spinner of the awesome radial on the front of a DHC-2 Beaver. Some wealthy gentleman in Santa Fe owns this airplane and doesn't even have a pilot's license. The guys who take care of it for him flew it down to Vaughn for the fly-out lunch.
