Spring views of Mount Haystack - Adirondacks, NY
As far as the High Peaks go, Mount Haystack is among my favorites. Incredible views, and an impressive alpine summit.
Though only the third highest peak in New York state, it is much more majestic than Marcy (#1), and much more isolated than Algonquin (#2).
In terms of difficulty, Haystack is also one of the hardest in combined distance and ascent via it's easiest route. 17.6 miles and 7,150ft gain/loss round trip.
