I'm not sure exactly what it is, but this image draws a lot of visitors. It's always been one of my favorites because of the sentimental value. It was taken in a multi village market (where the cow pics came from) on the southern Nigerien border near Nigeria. We were sitting in the market all day with dirty sandaled feet waiting for market day to be over. I'm still unclear as to why we were there all day. I remember having to pay to use a litrine and hoping that my 1 liter water supply would be enough. Anyway, there I was in the middle of nowhere in most people's eyes (the center of everything for a few others) and I saw a ridicuolously familiar sight: Portland Cement. So to give it some context, I added my feet.
