Naughty naughty NAUGHTY possums! I have similar problems with woodchucks (also called groundhogs) which I just discovered are part of the marmot family. If you look at the wiki entry for the woodchuck, you can see a clearly evil gleam in the eye of the woodchuck pictured at the top. So fart this year I have caught 2 woodchucks and 3 skunks in a have-a-heart trap, and then I (carefully) transported them across the river to the state of New Hampshire, where they belong. I'm told by several reliable sources that they are very tasty roasted, but I haven't gotten around to attempting a roast woodchuck bento. If they mess with my peas though, I may be inspired to try!

I am embarrassed to say that I don't know the name of the low, succulent, pink-flowered plant. It grows all along the stone border to the garden, and it's pretty, and it keeps the soil from eroding in times of heavy rain.

Thanks for the warm welcome back, bento sisters :-)
