I finished up the glass on this luminary this afternoon. In spite of being in pain, I am glad to finally have it finished. I had trouble nipping the glass but most of the pieces were already nipped since I use every bit of scrap I have. Grout will, of course, pull this whole mish-mosh together for a more cohesive look.
It took me close to 3 weeks to do this when normally I'd have finished it in a few days. The RSI (repetitive stress injury) is almost gone but the arthritis is still and will always be with me. Having this last injury has actually made it possible for me to see I will have limitations when it comes to working on mosaics. It's a good thing I don't like anything perfect. Because I doubt I'll see that perfect cut of glass or perfectly nipped piece for quite some time, if ever again.
Hopefully the end results will be appreciated, no matter what. It's a very belated Christmas gift. AND I have more gifts to make!!
Whew.
