closeup of a walrus

    Newer Older

i'm amazed this came out so well. f/1.4 ISO 1600, 1/6 sec, manually focused because AF couldn't find any contrast. it was making this really strange loud clicking sound with its mouth (i think) which was audible through the glass.

Nice one, Eric! That's a unique photo, definitely.

The more I see your own Sigma 30mm f/1.4 shots, the more I'm thinking of getting one myself. The only thing really holding me back (other than availability) is that I have the Pentax 35mm f/2, which is close in focal length (and it's ultra-sharp, too, even wide open). The bokeh of your lens is impressive, that's for sure.

That's a great shot you're not likely to get in the wild. Good thing he was sitting still from your description of the lighting conditions.

      thanks for sharing.

Nice shot! I tried to take a head-on shot of one too and it didn't come out. I do have this one of my son with it, though.
