Nice one! hope they go well; i'm stepping up my veg growing this year, i've converted an area at the bottom of the garden into a mini allotment with raised beds... and hopefully a solution to the huge numbers of slugs i get in the garden - built a pond and took stock of 30+ frogs from my parents pond - hopefully i'll be slug free in no-time (and have a large collection of photos of frogs :-)

Oh, do frogs eat slugs?

We have far too many snails in our garden, next door but one have a pond full of frogs, but presumably frogs can't cope with the shells. Looks like the traditional beer trap for mine!

Yeah, thats the main reason i've built the pond :-)
apparently they will eat snails too - shells'n'all, maybe you're a little too far away from them, or they're not big enough yet to eat the snails?
