This was one of the most amazing desserts we had the entire trip. We tried panna cotta a few more times, but this was absolutely the creamiest and most delicious.

Oh yum. Butternut squash filled ravioli with walnuts. I've never had ravioli that tasted so good.

If you want homemade Italian food for a terrific price, this is the place to go. They have a quaint outdoor patio that sits beside a small creek and the waitstaff is relaxed and friendly. For our first meal in Italy, this was perfect. Thank you, Lorenzo, for the fantastic suggestion!

Lucarelli in Chianti, Italy
As far as the town of Lucarelli goes, this is pretty much it. The Osteria was not yet open when we arrived so we walked to the Church of San Martino (behind me when I took this picture) and it took us all of two minutes to walk the entire town. Small, quaint, and beautiful.
