Winter has been a bit quiet here. Some of the usual suspects have taken up residence at the marina, and a bit of ice has appeared here and there, but nothing spectacular. Still waiting for the snow!

I've never noticed this before, probably because I've always seen Marilyn during the day, but when we were crossing the bridge at Michigan and Wacker one evening, I turned around at just the right angle, and it popped right out.

This fireman/nativity scene is on a busy county road in our area. I've always loved the message here, so decided to use it for this year's Christmas greeting. (Last year's picture, though, because we still have no snow.)

At the corner of Wacker and Michigan,on the 'Magnificent Mile', the Chicago River catches the reflections of the many skyscrapers along both sides. The prominent London Guarantee Building (across from the bridge marker on the lower almost left) stands where the original Fort Dearborn was located.

What trip to Chicago would be complete without visiting the famed Cloud Gate? The people on the right are watching the ice skaters in Millenium Park.
