cup-o-bokeh

for serious, how can you NOT love this shot???

For CWD: Bokeh - Bokeh (from the Japanese boke ボケ, "blur") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens. Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject.

    on black.

so to get this effect, do you back up as far as possible and zoom in super telephoto?

    18. fuzzirella (61 months ago | reply)

      - I used a 85mm 1.2 lens. I was probably about 3 feet away and I had the aperture all the way open on 1.2. The lens is a fixed local length so I couldn't do any zooming if I wanted to. :)

This is true bokeh (by my definition of bokeh). Nicely done my friend. This could be an ad in a magazine.
