Duck in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.

Not perfect - the 300mm lens is a heavy beast and hard to sabilise but I love the way it worked - adjusted in photoshop to bring out the colors more and here we have it. The crop was problematic as its really a head shot only - i cropped a little from the all for sides to center it more.

Thoughts and suggestions are the reason its here, so dont be shy !

-Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as .. Most "interesting" (according to flickr)

Very good close up. I always find it difficult to mark this kind of photo, they technically perfect and beautiful shot of wonderful animals but that's not really what I look for in photography.

NIce colours and a great use of a 200mm lens. After watching the largest size I find depth of field is a bit to swallow, as some of the feathers are too out of focus or probably are placed in spots where I see them.

excellent focus and control of DOF. The white spot in the background distracts me from the suject, since it is much brighetr than the duck's eye. For me, if you clean up the background, you will have a great animal portrait.
